Palmer's groin injury is set to keep him out until November. Chelsea's medical staff have been trying to manage the issue but it's now been decided that he needs an extensive period of rest.

He's expected to miss matches against Nottingham Forest, Ajax, Sunderland and Wolves as the Blues finally look to put the problem to bed. Palmer has only played three times in the Premier League this term, scoring once.
