Chelsea star Cole Palmer has seen a big decision take a step forward while he continues to recover from injury, as he has now registered a trademark for 'Cold Palmer'. The 23-year-old has missed the last four games with a groin issue upon returning from an earlier absence after just 145 minutes of action.

The Blues have just about coped in his absence with three wins picked up from a possible five in the time he has been out injured. Enzo Maresca has been hit by further injury problems in recent weeks, however, with numerous players missing the 2-1 win against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Those concerns were further heightened by Benoit Badiashile and Josh Acheampong going off injured, which led to Reece James, who has since withdrawn from the England squad, being moved to centre-back.

Maresca was unable to provide any injury updates after the game, as he was sent off, which prohibited him from holding a press conference.

The Chelsea boss has remained coy on Palmer's condition specifically, but he did appear to reveal that a big decision would be made over the next few weeks.

"Cole is still out," Maresca admitted before the Liverpool game....
