Steven Gerrard has opened up on his regrets at mistakes made in his footballing career that still haunt him on a daily basis, including never winning the Premier League. 

The former Liverpool captain had an illustrious playing career and went down as one of the greats at Anfield - but he is still reminded every day how he could not quite lead them to a league title after an infamous slip against Chelsea in 2014. 

Speaking to the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, Gerrard says he ‘should have’ delivered a league title and he thinks about those regrets nearly every day. 

‘I'm not sure what comes up the most,’ said the former Rangers, Aston Villa and Al Ettifaq manager. ‘I feel good speaking about the good stuff. Istanbul, Olympiacos, the FA Cup, you know, England got... Anyway, you feel great.
