James Garner spoke of his delight that Jack Grealish was the man who scored Everton’s stoppage-time winner against Crystal Palace. The Blues brought an end to the Eagles' 19-game unbeaten run when Grealish netted three minutes into added time to secure his side a 2-1 victory at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Daniel Munoz had fired Oliver Glasner’s side ahead in the first-half before Iliman Ndiaye restored parity from the penalty spot 14 minutes from time after Maxence Lacroix brought down substitute Tim Iroegbunam. And Grealish, who joined on loan from Man City in the summer, scored his first goal in an Everton shirt when he was then in the right place to block a Munoz clearance and see it rebound into the net
“He's played so well since he's come in so I think he was due a goal,” Garner said. “I'm just glad it was him that got the last-minute winner today - other than myself, of course! I think we've been due a last-minute winner, especially at home.
