Liverpool's defeat to Chelsea has seen them drop to second in the Premier League after Arsenal earned three points against West Ham. Arne Slot's side enter the international break having suffered another loss and two injury blows.

The Reds set the early-season pace but successive league defeats have seen the momentum shift. In the same period, Arsenal have won their last two league games against the Irons and Newcastle, teams who have proven difficult for them in recent years.

"You have to work really hard to reach a certain level and then it's very hard in football because you also play against very good teams to keep that level going and what I mean with that is consistency," said Slot at Stamford Bridge.
