The England international notched his 100th goal involvement in the Premier League when scoring against West Ham, which was his 55th league strike for the Gunners – he also has 45 assists.

Bukayo Saka set to become the first £300,000-a-week player in Arsenal history

The Arsenal No.7 sees his current contract expire in July 2027 – so those at the Emirates Stadium are understandably keen to extend his deal.

After tying William Saliba down, the Hale End graduate is next, with Bailey telling the Beyond The Back Four podcast: “Saka is the next big contract coming up. We do believe he’ll be the first £300,000-a-week footballer at Arsenal.

“That deal might actually be done in the coming weeks and this international break is going to be key to that.”
