Odds on Rafa Benitez Everton exit tumble as potential successors named

Pressure is mounting on Rafa Benitez after Everton's dismal defeat to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues have now won just one of their previous 13 Premier League matches and are edging ever closer to the relegation zone after a run of continued poor results.

Benitez has faced criticism from sections of supporters at a number of games in recent weeks and there were similar scenes during today's match at Carrow Road, with the away end again expressing their desire for the Spaniard to leave the club.

One angry supporter, believed to be from the away end, looked to be headed towards the Blues boss after running onto the pitch during the 2-1 loss against Norwich.

But he did not make it as far as Benitez before Norwich stewards caught up with him and took him off the pitch.

Everton's latest loss has left the 61-year-old as the current favourite to be the next Premier League coach to be sacked, with Betfair offering odds as low of 1/10 for him to be the latest managerial causality. Watford's Claudio Ranieri and Newcastle boss Eddie Howe are considered the next in line to depart after Benitez.

In terms of who could replace the Blues boss, Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand is being tipped as the most likely successor (3/1 on Paddy Power and Betfair).

Betfair have drawn up a full list of potential candidates for the role, which can be seen below.
