Manchester United have been handed a big boost in signing Arsenal left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are poised to make multiple defensive signings this summer. A holding midfielder will be signed, with Casemiro set to depart when his contract expires on June 30.

A new left-back could also be signed to compete with Luke Shaw, considering Patrick Dorgu has lacked defensive awareness and has looked more comfortable as a winger instead.

Lewis-Skelly is one of the top names on United’s radar to bolster the left-back position, and they have been handed a big boost with Arsenal ‘expected to listen to offers‘ for him.

The Gunners are aiming to secure at least £100m in incoming funds from the departures of Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri, who would provide ‘pure profit’ in their financial books.

Lewis-Skelly had a wonderful breakout season with the Gunners last term. He made 39 appearances for the north London giants and caught the eye with several standout performances.
