Arsenal are now interested in signing the Spanish defender Jacobo Ramon from Italian club, Como.

The 21-year-old has been excellent for the Italian outfit, and he is highly rated across Europe. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes he could be a reliable addition to the club’s defensive system, according to reports in Spain.

The London outfit will have to compete with Chelsea, who have also expressed interest in signing the 21-year-old. Ramon is a promising young player with a bright future, and he could develop into a quality defender with the right guidance.

The Spanish club has a buyback option of €9 million in his contract. That certainly gives them an advantage over the Premier League clubs.
