Manchester United's Under-21s were beaten 4-2 by Real Madrid Castilla in the Premier League International Cup at Old Trafford.

Jack Moorhouse's opener got the ball rolling at the Theatre of Dreams, before livewire winger Shea Lacey added a second shortly after for our young Reds.

But Madrid hit back on the stroke of half-time through Gabriel Castrelo, before Bruno Iglesias levelled the game, after his shot bounced up off of Dan Armer.

The game rolled into extra-time and during the second 15-minute period, substitute Jaime Barroso notched, before Daniel Mesonero ended the game altogether with Real's fourth.

FIRST HALF

Jack Fletcher, bidding to build on his impressive display at Leeds on Good Friday, stole possession and headed forward with nine minutes on the clock, allowing Moorhouse to run-in on goal.

The tenacious midfielder, back with our Under-21s after a solid loan spell at Leyton Orient, still had work to do, but smashed an effort into the top corner, as we pulled ahead early on.
