Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has announced his retirement from football aged 35.

The Welshman spent 11 years at Emirates Stadium, making 369 appearances and scoring 64 goals - two of which were memorable winning efforts in the 2015 and 2017 FA Cup finals. 

Aaron signed for us from his hometown club Cardiff City in 2008, and having initially established himself in the first-team as a teenager, he recovered from a broken leg suffered against Stoke City in November 2010 to do so again, following short loans at Nottingham Forest and the Bluesbirds again.

In 2014 he got his hands on the first of three FA Cups with us, when he netted in extra-time to help us beat Hull City 3-2 and seal our first piece of silverware for nine years. That capped a fine campaign in which he was named our Player of the Season as he scored 16 times in 34 games.
