Tottenham could be set to receive a significant financial windfall this summer, thanks to a smart decision made by then Chairman Daniel Levy when offloading striker Troy Parrott in 2024.

The Republic of Ireland international, who struggled to break into the first team at N17, was sold to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar for £6.7 million in July 2024.

However, Spurs inserted a 20% sell-on clause into the deal, a move that looks increasingly brilliant as Parrott’s market value continues to increase.

According to a recent report, Leeds United have made Parrott a a key target as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Daniel Farke’s side is among the suitors monitoring the 24-year-old, with a potential transfer fee now estimated at £25 million.

Should a deal in that price bracket be finalised, Tottenham would be entitled to roughly £5 million.

This represents a significant return on a player who made only four senior appearances for the club.
