Danny Rohl has provided some more clarity on the injury situation that has ruled Tuur Rommens out of Rangers action.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s clash with Dundee United at Ibrox, Rohl revealed an unnamed player had sustained an injury.

Rohl added that player would likely be out until the league split, but did not provide any further details at the time.

However, Rommens’ absence from the Gers’ starting line-up an hour or so before kickoff made it clear the defender was the player in question.

And Rohl has now spoken out on Rommens’ injury blow prior to the game at Ibrox.

Rommens has been superb for Rangers in their push for Scottish Premiership title glory, with his layoff coming at the worst possible time.

The 23-year-old joined Rangers from Westerlo in the winter window and has made eight appearances so far, catching the eye in pretty much each of those.

Rohl has confirmed via Rangers TV, however, that Rommens will miss at least the next two matches as he shed more light on the injury.
