Saints fans and city leaders send messages of support ahead of huge FA Cup match

Southampton face the Premier League leaders knowing that if they can spring what would be a huge FA Cup upset in front of a sell-out St Mary's crowd, they will be returning to play under the arch for the first time since they won promotion from the Championship in 2024.
Saints will be hoping to draw on the spirit of 1976, with the magic of this year being the 50th anniversary of the last time they were victorious in this competition helping them to victory.
The glorious cup run has allowed Saints fans to dare to dream.
But Tonda Eckert's men will need to be wary - Arsenal have a formidable defensive line having conceded just 22 in the league all season.
They are deadly from set pieces and have a massive nine point lead at the top of the Premier League.
Among those who have rallied behind the team tonight is Rishi Sunak, former Prime Minister and a long-time Saints fan.
