Harrogate gave themselves a big boost in their quest to stave off relegation with a 3-1 win over play-off chasers Grimsby at Blundell Park.
The away side got through the early pressure to lead 21 minutes in when Tobias Brennan curled in a shot off the inside of a post from just inside the area.
That was the visitors' first shot on goal, and they doubled their lead with their second when Jack Evans fired in off the same post six minutes later.
Grimsby responded in the 39th minute through Kieran Green, who headed in Cameron McJannet's long ball forward with visiting goalkeeper Henry Gray nowhere close as he came off his line.
Andy Cook was then denied by Gray from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time after Jamie Walker had been brought down in the box.
Walker was denied by a last-ditch block on the goal line as the hosts pushed for an equaliser in the second half.
As the hosts laboured for a way back in, Harrogate continued to be ruthless, with former Grimsby man Bryn Morris sealing the victory in the 80th minute.
