Transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided some insight into the complicated saga involving Manchester City midfielder Rodri and interest from Real Madrid.

The Spain international recently spoke publicly to hint that he’d be keen to make the move to the Bernabeu, and Romano has confirmed interest from Los Blancos.

Speaking in his latest YouTube video post, Romano explained that Man City have offered Rodri a new contract as they hope to persuade him to stay at the Etihad Stadium.

However, it’s not yet clear if this will prove successful, with Romano suggesting Rodri still needs to make a final decision, while Real Madrid continue to discuss the 29-year-old as a target internally.
