With Huddersfield Town desperate to see the next generation of first-team players come through to uplift the club again, Tom Iorpenda is one talent they will be keeping a close eye on.

On loan from the Terriers, the 20-year-old midfielder has shone for Notts County as his loan club pushes for promotion to League One this term, returning to the top three in the fourth tier this last weekend with a win at Harrogate Town.

Under former Huddersfield coach Martin Paterson, Iorpenda has learnt on the job with the Magpies, appearing in all 40 of their league matches this season, starting 37 of them in different midfield roles with eight goal contributions in that time.

“I’m enjoying the experience on a personal level,” said the Huddersfield loanee. “And I think things are going fairly well for the team, but as the gaffer always says to us, it’s just about the next game and having that singular focus from week to week.
