Tottenham Hotspur are set to battle it out with North London rivals Arsenal for the services of a Real Madrid forward this summer.

Spurs have lacked quality in the final third for much of this season and have not managed to replace the goals they lost last summer when they sold Heung-min Son.

Having failed to strengthen their forward line in January, one would expect the club to prioritise adding some firepower to the Tottenham squad in the summer.

It was reported that Tottenham enquired about Brahim Diaz in the final days of the January window, and they are now set to try again this summer.

This is according to Sports Boom, which reports that Diaz wants to leave the Spanish capital in order to get regular game time elsewhere.

The 26-year-old, who has just one year left on his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, has attracted the attention of Spurs, who see him as the ‘perfect link-man’ for their high-transition system.
