Liverpool FC midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has shown off a new look. The Argentine posted pictures to Instagram yesterday showing off a new trim. It comes as European champions Spain were set to play Copa America champions Argentina in Qatar on March 26.

The Finalissima between Argentina and Spain has been cancelled because of the war in the Middle East. UEFA said proposals to hold the match at Real Madrid's Bernabeu, or play a two-legged game in Madrid and Buenos Aires, were rejected by Argentina. The fixture pits the champions of Europe and South America against each other.

Mac Allister is one of 13 Liverpool players on international duty. Mac Allister's partner shared a selfie of the two posting in the mirror, as Liverpool supporters noticed the change in appearance of the midfielder.

Mac Allister shared pictures from international duty to his own Instagram account. He tagged his dad in the post and captioned it: "Like father like son."
