After opening the season with two games on the road, Seattle Reign begin a unique three-game “home”stand tonight in Spokane, welcoming the Kansas City Current to ONE Spokane Stadium. These three matches were scheduled across the state to accommodate construction and grass installation at Lumen Field ahead of that venue hosting men’s World Cup games later this summer.

The Reign and Current are both are coming off of deflating road losses on the weekend. The Reign fell 2-0 to Portland despite having a player advantage for nearly the entire game and a two-player advantage for more than 30 minutes, while the Current struggled to get control of a game they lost 2-1 to the Chicago Stars, with former Reign forward Jordyn Huitema scoring the game winner for the hosts.

The Reign have an all-time record of 6-6-1 against the Current, with 13 goals scored and 14 conceded. Last year the Reign defeated KC 1-0 at Lumen Field, one of only three regular-season losses for the Current all year.
