Preston North End have finally broke their form duck as they registered their first win since the start of February.

Alfie Devine’s brace and Milutin Osmajic helped Preston come back from an early goal from Stoke City to claim all three points at Deepdale.

The visitors took an early lead at the four minute mark through Sobra Thomas, who got his tenth goal of the season.

It seemed it was going to be the normal service for the Lilywhites, as the crowd showed their frustration and heads dropped.

However, Devine’s equaliser ten minutes later from a wonderful counter attack got the juices flowing for the home side.

Confidence seemed to be sky high, an unusual prospect that we’ve not come to see as of late.

After four losses in a row, the chances of Preston coming away from this clash with a win was slim in most people’s minds.

However, Paul Heckingbottom’s side stuck to their game-plan and executed it perfectly to do maximum damage on the counter attack.

It was the Preston side that we’ve become accustomed to earlier in the season, direct countering football that frustrated teams to the point of over-commitment....
