Lee Clark starts his managerial career with Rotherham United with a difficult trip to top of the table Lincoln City where Craig Hicks has the whistle.

Born in Surrey Craig began refereeing at grass roots level in 2001, progressing through the various leagues until the 2013/14 season saw him in the Football Conference. He was promoted to a Level 1 referee for the start of the 2017/18 season.

Craig was first in the middle for a Millers game in September 2021 when Fleetwood Town were the visitors to the New York Stadium in a League One game. Town took the lead with Michael Smith equalising and Kieran Sadlier converting from the penalty spot to put Rotherham 2-1 up at half-time. Unfortunately for the Millers Fleetwood scored 3 more goals in a 15 minute period in the second half to take all three points.

Later that season Craig was also in charge of the Millers game at Adams Park which saw Rotherham and Wycombe Wanderers get a point apiece...
