Liverpool moved to the top of Premier League 2 as Trey Nyoni and Kieran Morrison inspired a five-goal romp against 10-man Wolves on Sunday afternoon. Morrison scored and had a hand in two other goals while Nyoni claimed two assists as Rob Page's side won 5-0 at the Academy in Kirkby.

Both had featured from the bench for the first team in the FA Cup fifth-round victory against Wolves on Friday evening and are expected to be on the flight to Istanbul to take on Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Liverpool are now ahead of Fulham on goal difference at the summit with two games of the regular season remaining, although they have played more than any other team in the division. Nevertheless, the Reds are in a strong position to earn a high seeding and home advantage during the play-offs.

Liverpool got off to the perfect start on two minutes when, after Nyoni released Morrison down the right, the ball came out to Clae Ewing on the edge of the area, whose shot went in off the far post.
