Now is the time for Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh to move on as Manchester United seemingly step up their interest.

That’s according to Malick Diop, president of the Mawade Wade Academy, speaking to Africa Foot. He previously had the 19-year-old centre-back as part of his academy.

Kinteh currently plays for Tromsø after joining them in March last year. He’s been impressing since, so much so that there is reportedly Premier League interest in him.

Reports in England have indicated as much, recently naming Chelsea and Manchester United among the suitors.

In fact, one such report stated that Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada were planning on travelling to Norway to scout the young Tromsø IL talent.

Sport Witness then covered a report from Corriere dello Sport detailing Manchester United’s interest. That stated those in charge at Old Trafford planned a ‘blitz’ to beat competition to the youngster.

Now Diop has backed his former talent for a move, lavishing praise on the youngster in the process.
