Rob Edwards admits his Wolves side “couldn’t quite live” with Liverpool as their hopes of Wembley glory were emphatically extinguished.

The Reds avenged the 2-1 Premier League defeat at Molineux on Tuesday when they returned to the stadium to earn a 3-1 triumph in their FA Cup fifth round clash on Friday evening.

Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah both scored early in the second half before a fine solo goal from Curtis Jones sealed an impressive victory.

Wolves substitute Hee-Chan Hwang pulled a goal back during the additional period but Edwards admits the home side were well beaten.
