Austin FC forward Christian Ramirez was voted to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday bench for his role in the team’s 1-0 home win over D.C. United on Sunday afternoon at Q2 Stadium.

Ramirez, whom the Club acquired on Friday, scored just 14 minutes into his Austin FC debut after entering the match as a 68^th-minute substitute. The MLS veteran forward headed in a rebound from Besard Sabovic’s blocked shot for the only goal of the match in the 82^nd minute. Ramirez joins Guilherme Biro as the only two (2) players in Club history to score in their first match for ATXFC. It was Ramirez’s 60^th career MLS goal.
