Martin O'Neill has shared positive news regarding Kasper Schmeichel's return.

The goalkeeper was missing from Celtic's 2-2 draw against Rangers due to illness.

Schmeichel's absence saw Vil Sinisalo take his spot between the posts, after his clean sheet in Stuttgart on Thursday night.

Ross Doohan was selected as the backup keeper on the bench.

However, O'Neill is confident that the experienced Danish player should be ready for their match against Aberdeen on Wednesday.

O'Neill said: "Should be, should be, yeah.

"Should be available for selection. Yeah, so we'll see."
