Hearts did their job today. They got their three points, which makes our game tomorrow all the more important even if it’s not decisive. Now it’s over to Celtic.
I think if we win tomorrow, the Ibrox club’s league campaign, at least in terms of being champions, is pretty much over.
At that point, Celtic become the last hope of stopping Hearts, but we do have a number of advantages in that fight, all of which we’ve written about here before.
I don’t think a defeat for us ends our title challenge outright, provided we win the game in hand against Aberdeen. But it’s going to make it tough. Very tough. Two wins in a row and we will have Hearts in our sights. And although they look good, I still don’t think they’re a championship-winning side.
They keep putting points on the board, and fair play to them for that. With nine games to go, they must be feeling pretty good.
Unfortunately for them, nine games to go is also when the pressure becomes very real. It’s going to be interesting to see how it all shakes out.
