Gary Lineker has delivered a fresh rant on semi-automated offsides after Liverpool's late goal against Nottingham Forest. Alexis Mac Allister scored the winner deep into stoppage time at the City Ground with VAR confirming Virgil van Dijk, who played a key role in the goal, was played onside by Ola Aina.

Just minutes earlier, the Forest full-back was full of relief as his delayed clearance was forced in by Mac Allister but that goal was ruled out for a handball. Controversy also surrounded what was deemed to be a legitimate goal by the Argentine with Lineker making his feelings perfectly clear on the incident and the technology used.

Lineker said on Rest Is Football podcast: "I think Nottingham Forest fans will think it’s a little bit suspect. But we’ve got technology haven’t we? Deciding whether you’re offside or not, or semi-automated.
