A new report has shed light on Aston Villa’s stance on the future of Tottenham Hotspur target Morgan Rogers.

It was reported last summer that Spurs were prepared to offer ‘crazy money’ for Morgan Rogers, but he ended up staying put at Villa Park.

The Lilywhites eventually secured the services of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, but their interest in the Villa star has seemingly not gone away.

Just a few days ago, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Rogers remains a ‘dream target’ for Spurs this summer, but a new update suggests that getting the player out of Villa Park will be far from easy.

It has now been revealed by Football Insider that interest in the England international is starting to mount from the Premier League elite ahead of the summer.

There is an expectation that Rogers’ reputation will grow further after this summer’s World Cup, but a summer deal for the player will not be easy to complete.

The report says that Villa’s ability to hold onto Rogers will not depend on them achieving Champions League qualification.

The Midlands club are under no pressure to sell the former Middlesbrough man, and that is ‘highly unlikely to change’ even if they miss out...
