Mikel Arteta's men secured a commanding 4-1 North London derby triumph courtesy of a double from the England international and another brace from Viktor Gyokeres.
The result represented Arsenal's most comprehensive away win against Spurs since 1978 and saw them establish a five-point cushion over second-placed Manchester City, who had narrowed the deficit with victory against Newcastle United on Saturday.
