Liverpool picked up their second win within the space of seven days when they saw off Brighton and Hove Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

A number of Reds players impressed in the 3-0 win over the Seagulls, which followed on from a 1-0 victory over Sunderland in midweek.

Milos Kerkez is performing to a high level, while Dominik Szoboszlai remains a standout performer under Arne Slot.

It’s not too often fans have been treated to back-to-back wins this season, especially within such a short space of time.

But Liverpool’s mini return to form now puts them one place higher in the Opta global Power Rankings.

After some tricky results, which included one win in seven Premier League games, the Reds have slipped down to fifth.

However, the latest rankings from Opta now put Liverpool fourth in the global table, overtaking Aston Villa.

Arsenal, who remain top of the Premier League, finished first in the Champions League table and are still going strong in domestic competitions, have maintained top spot.

Manchester City are then ranked second, followed by Luis Diaz’s Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
