Preston North End will be making the trip to Blackburn for another rendition of the Lancashire derby at Ewood Park.

The Lilywhites have not won in this clash since November 2023, when Liam Lindsay’s stoppage time winner at Ewood gave them all three points.

After a winless run of four in the clash since, with two draws and two losses, North End will be looking for a victory after their last outing at Deepdale where they fell to a 2-1 defeat in November.

Especially after their 2-2 draw against Watford last weekend, conceding twice in two minutes only to equalise late on to salvage a point at home against the Hornets.

Goals from Lewis Dobbin and Milutin Osmajic on the day rescued the point for the home side, who were riding comfortably in the first half, but capitulated in the second to throw away the three points.

Blackburn Rovers, however, have won two in their last three and will have Michael O’Neill in charge for his first game as Rovers manager.
