Chris Davies is of the opinion that Birmingham City were deserving victors in their FA Cup clash against Leeds United, and feels his team should have been awarded a penalty.

Leeds narrowly overcame Blues 4-2 in a penalty shootout following an intense 120 minutes that concluded in a 1-1 draw at St Andrew's.

Davies feels the Blues dominated both before and after Lukas Nmecha's 49th-minute goal, and finally saw their efforts rewarded in the 89th minute when Patrick Roberts' shot ricocheted off James Justin and into the net.

In stoppage time, the ball fell perfectly for substitute Kanya Fujimoto after Ibrahim Osman's shot rebounded off the post, but Jaka Bijol managed to block the Japanese midfielder's attempt.

"It's hit the post, gone across and I don't know if he can do much more," Davies commented on Fujimoto's opportunity. "The defender has come out and got a very good block. It's a big block and a big moment.", reports Birmingham Live.
