Newcastle United CEO David Hopkinson has ordered 500 club staff to work full-time at their workplace.

In an exclusive, The Times says that the United boss has now prevented staff working from home.

The new report says that this follows a 100-day review of that way that the club operates.

The Times say that currently, around 250 of the 500 Newcastle United staff currently enjoy the opportunity to work up to two days a week from home.

The Newcastle United CEO and other senior staff said to believe that this hangover from the post-Covid era should now be seen as a thing of the past for employees at the football club.

The Times saying that under David Hopkinson: ‘There is a desire for a cultural change that, Newcastle bosses hope, can be achieved by having the entire workforce on site at all times. They believe this will make staff more driven to further their careers.’

They report that the club has begun implementing the new policy and that it will be fully in place by the start of March 2026..
