The pressure on Thomas Frank is only expected to intensify in the coming weeks following yet another Premier League defeat tonight to Newcastle United.

Let us take a look at five things we learned from Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat to the Magpies, which has pushed Spurs further into a relegation fight.

Tottenham Hotspur’s form has been rather appalling in recent weeks, but it is not just a run that started recently; it is one that stretches back several months.

You would have to go all the way back to December for the last time Spurs managed a victory in the Premier League, with that coming against Crystal Palace.

In fact, since the start of the year, Spurs have not tasted a single league victory and have now only managed two wins in their last 17 Premier League games.

That surely is not good enough for a club of Spurs’ magnitude, one that is so used to pushing for European spots.
