Manchester City are preparing a renewed move for AS Roma right-back Wesley, with the Premier League champions expected to test the Italian club with a £43m (€50m) offer, according to reports from Brazil.

Interest from Manchester City has returned after an initial attempt earlier this year. In January, Pep Guardiola personally approved Wesley as a potential signing after internal discussions about strengthening the right side of defence. City sounded out the situation at the time. The picture has now changed. Sources in Brazil say Manchester City are shaping a more concrete proposal worth £43m (€50m) and see the coming months as a better moment to act. Guardiola reportedly values Wesley’s profile and believes the Brazilian suits the tactical and physical demands of his system.
