It was interesting, following the victory against Bradford City, to see who was voted as the Player of the Match.

From what I can make out, the award was given to Jordan Clark.

My view was that our recent midfield signing, Kasey Palmer, won it by a country mile.

I thought his performance, in midfield, was immense.

Palmer was everywhere, sitting deep and protecting the back four in the early stages, breaking up the opposition attacks, getting the Hatters moving forward with intent and then, later in the game, getting further forward to keep the Hatters in the Bradford City half.

All that was missing was a goal and that almost came, late on, when a low, long-range shot, had to be hastily pushed away by the Bradford City goalkeeper, Sam Walker.

Palmer played so well that social media was flooded with praise for a player the Hatters have picked up on loan, from Hull City, in the January transfer window.
