Manchester United Women head coach Marc Skinner has praised the impact of substitutes following Saturday’s 2-0 victory against Leicester City.

United beat Leicester

United moved four points clear of third-placed Chelsea in the WSL table as they secured three points at the expense of Leicester on Saturday.

The Red Devils were largely comfortable, dominating possession and fashioning chance after chance.

The victory marked United’s third in a row in the WSL, which is the club’s best run since winning seven in a row between 8 December 2024 and 2 March 2025.

After the final whistle, an impressive statistic emerged – United’s substitutes have contributed to 10 of their 33 WSL goals this season, a league-leading tally for impact off the bench. Skinner spoke to Sky Sports and expressed his delight, adding that he is keen for the trend to carry on.
