For the first time in an age, I have a smile on my face, on a Sunday morning, after a fine Luton Town win.

But it is not just the fact that we won that has made the smile linger longer, but the manner in which we played.

Okay, we had to weather a little storm in the second half but, at times, our football was a joy to watch.

It is almost as if the raft of players who left the club, in the recent transfer window, have allowed those who remained to tear off the shackles and show what they can do.

To me it looked as if for the first time in an age that we had a team on the pitch that understood what playing for Luton Town means, there was a team spirit not seen previously, everyone supporting and encouraging each other, all going about their business.
