Everton players and staff are reportedly still in a ‘state of shock’ following the sacking of Brian Sorensen according to reports.

Sorensen was sacked by Everton at the beginning of February after a poor start to the season.

Brian Sorensen was manager of Everton for just over four years.

The dismissal came as a surprise to fans as despite being poor this season the team is still relatively safe from relegation.

A report out of Everton has said that players and staff were informed of the decision in an early meeting on February 3rd.

The mood around the club is a somber one according to that same report, with players and staff alike shocked by the departure of their long-serving manager.

Sorensen himself will have been surprised by the decision which came just days after Everton beat Aston Villa in the WSL.
