Aston Villa and Liverpool are set to hold talks over the terms of Harvey Elliott's season-long loan move at Villa Park.

The clubs agreed a deal last summer that meant Elliott would move to Villa for £35million in summer 2026 as long as he made 10 appearances.

When it quickly became apparent Villa boss Unai Emery did not rate Elliott highly enough to spend that sum, the 22-year-old found himself on the sidelines.

After appearing as a substitute in Villa's 2-0 win at Feyenoord on October 2, Elliott was left in the cold.

Yet he has now appeared in each of Villa's last two matches, taking his appearance tally to eight, and Daily Mail Sport understands the clubs will now seek to revise the loan arrangement.
