Welcome to the Liverpool Echo's January transfer blog. The winter window has little over a week remaining for clubs to conduct business.

But it looks like Liverpool could see some movement before the February 2 deadline. Andy Robertson's future is top of the agenda, but he featured prominently in defeat to Bournemouth as Milos Kerkez was replaced early.

As a result of defensive issues, the Reds in turn have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur star Micky van de Ven. However, Thomas Frank has downplayed the likelihood of the Dutchman leaving the Lilywhites, arguing that tying him down to a new contract should be a priority.

Elsewhere, an impressive Bundesliga duo are on Liverpool's radar. RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande is of interest but a deal seems more likely in the summer and Koln's Said El Mala could also offer a long-term options to bolster their attacking line.
