Danny Rohl has revived a Rangers side that looked down in the dumps since his arrival in October, with the Gers board backing him in the January window.

Rangers have already spent over seven and a half million in the winter window, bringing in the likes of Sturm Graz midfielder Tochi Chukwuani, Westerlo left back Tuur Rommens and Wolfsburg winger Andreas Skov Olsen.

And rumour has it, the board are willing to spend more to compete against Celtic and Hearts, as the Blue Bears have been rumoured with multiple players.

The midfielder has been linked with Rangers since the start of the window, as the Englishman is out of contract this summer. Neil has only played three times for Regis Le Bris’ Sunderland side and is looking for a way out, either this January or by getting a pre-contract prepared for the summer.
