Rangers are in line to make a significant profit on a player who was brought to Ibrox in the summer.

Recruitment has been a buzzword at Rangers over the last 12 months, and in January, the Gers have certainly done plenty of it.

Tochi Chukwuani, Tuur Rommens and Andreas Skov Olsen have all made the move to Glasgow, the latter of whom has joined on a loan-to-buy deal from Wolfsburg.

However, it was a deal that was agreed in the summer that has Rangers on course to make a profit, as well as the club he joined from.

Rangers signed 14 new players in the summer transfer window, and among them was Emmanuel Fernandez, who joined the Glasgow club on a four-year deal from Peterborough after rejecting a move to Norwich City.

It took the 24-year-old some time to adapt to his new surroundings, but his performances under Danny Rohl have improved tenfold, though the same could be said for several players at Ibrox.
