There were clashes between Coventry and Leicester fans yesterday after the Foxes lost 2-1 against the home team.

West Midlands Police said the situation was quickly brought under control and no arrests were made, CoventryLive reported.

Fans were spotted fighting and exchanging insults near the CBS Arena and at a pub in the city. The local police had stationed officers at key spots around Coventry, including The Wheatsheaf Inn, Broadgate, Arena Shopping Park, and Foleshill Road.

Videos of the incidents showed groups clashing and swearing at each other following the game at the arena.

Coventry, who won 2-1 in a comeback against Leicester, are now at the top of the table and well placed to be promoted to the Premier League after a bleak few seasons.

Leicester, who are 13th in the Championship, had taken an early lead, but the Sky Blues responded with a goal from Ellis Simms and a late winner from Haji Wright.
