While this was the first time this season that Leicester City had led at half-time and lost, there was enough evidence to suspect it might happen.

It was not simply a case of fan pessimism that a Coventry comeback felt seriously possible. City just haven’t looked all that assured when defending a half-time advantage.

This was the 11th time that City have gone in at the break in front, but the fifth time they’ve failed to win, the previous four all ending in draws. Only Wrexham have failed to convert a half-time advantage into three points more often.

In the past eight of those 11 matches, City have scored just once in the second half, while they have conceded nine.
