Fabrizio Romano has just broken some massive news that will shake up the Premier League. He confirms that Conor Gallagher is heading to Tottenham Hotspur. In a surprising twist, the England international told Atlético Madrid himself that he wants to move back to London.
The 25-year-old turned down a serious push from Aston Villa to make it happen. The well-known Italian journalist gave the move his famous “here we go.” This means Spurs will pay a €40m fee to sign the midfielder on a permanent deal.
This news is a tough blow for Unai Emery’s Villa side. They had apparently settled on terms with the Spanish club earlier today. Even though the clubs agreed, Gallagher didn’t give the final okay. He chose the project in North London instead.
