David Moyes said he had made his feelings clear to Jack Grealish in the immediate aftermath of the playmaker’s red card against Wolves.

The 30-year-old was handed two yellow cards, both for dissent, in the final minutes as Everton clung onto a point against the Premier League’s bottom club.

Both came shortly after Michael Keane had been handed an early bath for what referee Thomas Kirk concluded was an act of violent conduct when he appeared to pull the hair of striker Tolu Arokodare.

The bookings, which reduced Everton to nine men as they sought to avoid defeat through nine minutes of stoppage time, compounded the Blues’ problems after their night turned sour when Mateus Mane equalised in the 69th minute.
