He should be in a good mood after his side produced an heroic performance to triumph 2-0 at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. Without seven first-team players, and with Jack Grealish fit enough only for a place on the bench, Everton were excellent.

But the Blues could still do with having some bodies back for the visit of Brentford. Expect Moyes, then, to be quizzed on the fitness of Michael Keane, Carlos Alcaraz and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, as well as Iliman Ndiaye, who reportedly picked up an injury while playing for Senegal alongside Idrissa Gueye at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Also expect questions over Moyes' decision to recall Harrison Armstrong from his loan spell at Preston North End and, given the January window is now open, whether Everton are intending to be busy in the market.
